Mothercare

A hetvegen elugrottunk a Mothercare-be, ahol volt mindenfajta jatek, amivel Leo elfoglalhatta magat, mig en nezelodtem. Sarga lufit rugdosott korbe-korbe pl, es apukak megjegyeztek, hogy milyen jo a foci erzeke :-) Itt Apa egy zenelos hajoba (?) rakta bele. A keprol nem Jon le, de Leonak bejott.

We went to Mothercare this weekend, and what a great surprise, the store had plenty of toys to occupy Leo while I was shopping. At one pint he was chasing a giant yellow balloon around the store, kicking it like a ball. A few dads commented on his good football skills :-) here Rich put him into a singing boat which moved back and forth. Not obvious from the picture, but Leo did enjoy it!

Leo talks / Leo beszel

Here's a brief summary of Leo's vocabulary right now (he's 14.5 months old) - just want to make sure language isn't an issue when you meet next!

Olvasas / Reading

Leo has turned into a bookworm about a week ago. He comes over, brings his book(s), and wants to sit on your lap while 'reading'. His favourites books are bright and colourful, and ideally have dogs. He points out the dogs saying 'Ba, ba'. This pic was taken at Parkside Hospital, where we went to see a dermatologist with his nappy rash. It's starting to get better now!

Leo kb egy hete mar nagy konyvbarat lett. Jon oda, hoz konyveket, es az oledbe akar ulni. Imadja a szines, nagy fotos/rajzos konyveket, foleg, ha kutya is van bennuk. Ilyenkor mutat a kutyakra, es mondja, hogy 'Ba, ba'. A foto a Parkside Korhazban keszult penteken, amikor borgyogyasznal voltunk.

Nem en voltam! / It wasn't me!

Ez egy uj szokas, ha tudja, hogy valami olyat csinalt , amit nem szabad.. Egy hete kezdodott a Giraffe etteremben, zsirkreta dobalas utan.

This is Leo's new gesture when he does something he shouldn't. It started a week ago at Giraffe, after throwing his crayons all over the floor... as you can see, multiple times.

A Holland / The Dutch

Mar masodik reggel jatsszuk meg, hogy a narancssarga kontost (kedvenc!) a Halloween-es jelmezzel kombinaljuk. Leo felkel (ma 5-kor..) es fel ora mulva porog: hozza oda mindkettot, hogy vegyuk fel..

It's now the second time Leo has asked me to put his favourite bathrobe on together with his Halloween outfit, first thing in the morning (photos from 5.30am). And then he roams around the house as if nothing has happened..

Bohoc / Clown

Ma reggel bolcsibe menet Leo probalt meggyozni, hogy a babahordozoban vigyem (hozta oda hozzam, hogy vegyem fel). Hat ez nem igazan johetett szoba, erre elkezdett bohockodni...

This morning Leo tried to convince me to put on the baby carrier, as we were getting ready to leave for the nursery. Well, I didn't really go for it, but nevertheless he was in a good mood, and pulled all kinds of funny faces...

Pizza Express

Last weekend we went to Pizza Express for lunch. Leo had pasta Napoletana, with some really yummy tomato sauce. He enjoyed it so much that he ate the entire thing. A portion big enough for much older kids! Of course he was so full that he couldn't eat anything else the rest of the day! And of course it shows that he doesn't know when to stop when it comes to food :-)

Mult Hetvegen elmentunk a Pizza Express-be ebedelni. Leo pasta Napoletana-t evett fincsi paradicson szosszal. Annyira izlett neki, hogy az egeszet behabzsolta. Egy egesz teljes gyerekadagot! Mondanom se kell, hogy annyira tele lett, hogy a nap hatralevo reszeben semmit nem evett. Ez is mutatja, hogy ha kajarol van szo, nem tudja hol a hatar!

Lepcso / Stairs

Uj hobbink van, lepcsomaszas. Leo amint egy pillanatra elfordulunk, elindul felfele. Es naprol napra gyorsabb! Szerencsere azt is tudja, hogy hogy kell lejonni, hason csuszva, labbal lefele.

Climbing stairs has become a new hobby. As soon as we look away for a sec, Leo starts scooting upstairs. He is getting alarmingly fast at it day by day! Fortunately, he also knows how to come down, sliding on his belly, feet down.

Halloween

Halloween party van ma a bolcsiben. Es mi ig oltoztunk be :-) mondanom se kell, Leo nagy sikert aratott az ovonenik koreben. Volt ott meg rozsaszin / zold dino, boszorkany, tunderke, tuzolto es csontvaz is. Ma van Leo utolso napja a baby csoportban, hetfotol a 'totyogo' csoportban kezd. Kellokeppen meg kell ezt unnepelni :-)

The nursery is having a Halloween party today, and so we decided to go as a pumpkin :-) Leo pumpkin was of course a big hit, but other babies made pretty good efforts, too. There were 2 dinos (one pink, one green), a witch, a fairy and a Fireman Sam in attendance in the baby group. Today is Leo's last day in the baby group by the way, he is starting with the toddlers on Monday. This seems like an appropriate way to celebrate :-)

Reggeli keszulodes / Mornings

Leoval kettecsken vagyunk a heten amig Rich Moszkvaban van / pihen :-) A reggelek szokasos modon kicsit rohanosak.. Amig en probalok mindent elkesziteni, Leo szetpakol, a tv-t bekapcsolja, torlokendoket huzgal ki a tartobol, fiokokat pakol ki, a wc-be dobal ezt-azt.. Stb stb stb. Jol megvagyunk :-)

While Rich is having his regular Moscow break, Leo and I are on our own this week. The mornings are eventful. While I'm trying to get everything ready, he empties the drawers, throws things in the loo, throws wet wipes all over the place, turns the tv on, etc, etc, etc. its all good though, part of the package :-)

Alexander

A hetvegen meglatogatott minket Sofia & Troy Stockholmbol. Alig hisszuk el, hogy mar 4 eve elkoltoztek Londonbol - azert meg igy is latjuk oket 1-2-szer evente. Jott velunk a 6 honapos Alexander is, mig a 2 eves Olivia otthon maradt a nagyszulokkel. Jo volt talalkozni, Alexander total elvezte Leo Jumperoo-jat :-)

Sofia & Troy visited us from Stockholm this weekend. We can't believe that it has already been 4 yrs since they left London; but we still manage to see them 1-2x / year. Little Alexander, who is 6 months old, also joined them on this trip, whereas Olivia (2 yrs old) stayed at home with the grandparents. It was really cool to see them. Alexander had a blast in Leo's Jumperoo :-)

Cycling / Bicajozas

It was a nice sunny day on Sunday, so we decided to put Leo's baby bicycle seat, a fab bday gift from grandma & grandpa, into action.. we went for a ride in Richmond park. Leo had a blast, although 1 hour was more than enough.. he was quite wriggly towards the end. He watched reindeers, airplanes, and doggies with much excitement from his little perch :-) At the end of the bike ride we joined Simon and Ioni at Stein's for a beer (or two). Leo ate all of Simon's pretzels, and blew raspberries with Dad - a solid favourite Dad & son past time.

Vasarnap szep ido volt, igy ugy dontottunk, hogy kiprobaljuk a mamatol es papatol kapott szulinapi ajandekot - egy szuper bicajos gyerekulest! A Richmond parkba mentunk egyet kerulni. Leonak bejott a dolog: renszarvasokat es kutyusokat nezett, es persze repuloket egymas utan. A vegen csatlakoztunk egy (ket) sorre Simon & Ioni-hoz a Stein nemet 'kocsmaban' a folyoparton. Leo behabzsolta Simon sos perecet, es persze boburekfujasra is volt alkalom.. Apa es fia kedvenc idotoltese :-)

A day at the nursery / Egy nap a bolcsiben

Today's handover sheet from the nursery (we receive one every day, describing what he has eaten and how much, when he has slept, how many nappies they've changed, etc.) had these notes:

'Leo had a lovely day at nursery today! We've been exploring with puzzles and shakers. Leo has enjoyed playing with the rocking dinosaur in the garden and pushing the bikes! :-)'

Sounds like a pretty good day to me!!!


A bolcsibol minden nap kapunk egy 'beszamolot', amiben leirjak, hogy mit es mennyit evett aznap, mikor aludt, mennyi pelenkat csereltek, es hogy epp mit csinaltak. Hat a mai beszamolo igy nezett ki:

'Leo nagyon jol erezte magat ma a bolcsiben! Kirakoztunk es csorgokkel jatszottunk. Ezen kivul Leo jot jatszott a hinta-dinoszaurusszal (mint a hintalo, csak dinoszaurusz) a kertben, es bicikliket tologatott! :-)'

Nekem is total bejonne egy ilyen nap!!!

Charlotte 1. szulinapja / Charlotte's 1st bday

We attended Charlotte's 1st birthday party this past weekend on Richmond Green. Leo loved every minute of it - he loved the balloons so much that he ended up running away with them all! It was hilarious. Then he of course loved the cake; he actually ate my piece, he didn't even give me the chance to start, he just jumped on it. Hopefully he will like his own bday cake just as much! Rich's new name for him is 'Bull' as he literally charges through everything to get what he wants!

A hetvegen Charlotte elso szulinapi bulijara voltunk hivatalosak a Richmond Green-en. Leo tok jol erezte magat - imadta a lufikat, olyannyira, hogy el is futott veluk. :-) Es persze imadta a tortat, olyannyira, hogy az en szeletemet is o ette meg.. nem is tudtam hozzanyulni, mert azonnal raugrott. Remelhetoleg, a sajat tortaja is majd ennyire izlik neki! A buli ota Rich csak 'Bull'-nak hivja, utalva ra, hogy semmire sincs tekintettel, ha szeretne valamit, ugy raindul a dolgokra, mint egy 'bika' :-)
